Big Brother sends us today’s urgent Newspeak via the Associated Press — published word-for-word by AP henchmen CBS, MSN, Yahoo, Politico, Huffington Post, etc. — on ‘the recession that ended back in 2009‘:
The Recession’s Lost Generation
(Associated Press) In record-setting numbers, young adults struggling to find work are shunning long-distance moves to live with Mom and Dad, delaying marriage and buying fewer homes, often raising kids out of wedlock. They suffer from the highest unemployment since World War II and risk living in poverty more than others – nearly 1 in 5.
New 2010 census data released Thursday show the wrenching impact of… [wait for it... wait for it... here it comes...] a recession that officially ended in mid-2009.
It highlights the missed opportunities and dim prospects for a generation of mostly 20-somethings and 30-somethings coming of age in a prolonged slump with high unemployment.
“We have a monster jobs problem, and young people are the biggest losers,” said Andrew Sum, an economist and director of the Center for Labor Market Studies at Northeastern University. He noted that for recent college grads now getting by with waitressing, bartending and odd jobs, they will have to compete with new graduates for entry-level career positions when the job market eventually does improve.
“Their really high levels of underemployment and unemployment will haunt young people for at least another decade,” Sum said.

‘But, but without Kool-Aid, AP‘s article makes no sense!’ Relax. And let master propaganda historian George Orwell explain what you just read…
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.” — George Orwell, ‘1984’
UPDATE: Formal Apology From Sad Hill
I apologize for questioning Big Brother, the Obama regime and the ‘good news’ I am privileged to receive. Readers, please disregard this post in its entirety since this photo I just received from Dear Leader confirms the error of my ways. The recession is over…

I don’t like your attitude. AttackWatch! AttackWatch!
Ah, but the “recession” is over, don’t you know — now we’re into “Unexpected Slump” soon to be followed “Economic Disaster.”
Well, looks like we have another defector.
You must have ‘accidentally’ skimmed over Michelle’s $42,000 ‘recovery’ photo, huh?
Besides, BO is giving his 900th jobs speech today at an ‘un-obligated’ bridge in Ohio.
Why do they think they are royalty? How many people would love to have a job paying $42,000 a year? Get these people out of our house!! Yes, I repeat myself.
Racist!
