Since the White House will be using taxpayer funds to crack down on ‘negative’ stories about the Obama clan, perhaps hors d’œuvres are in order.
(London – Telegraph) Strong gusts had Mrs Obama clutching on to her dress as it threatened to blow up into the air during the event staged in Buckingham Palace’s gardens.
It appeared the politician’s wife could have benefited from a trick employed by the Queen’s dressmakers, who sew tiny weights into the hems of her gowns.
Mrs Obama clung on to her outfit, which appeared to be made from a light fabric, and fought a battle with the wind but managed to win in the end.
The blast also caused havoc with the first lady’s hair, which was left standing on end at one point.
Mrs Obama had to contend with similar strong gusts when in Ireland yesterday but unlike London, which enjoyed warm sunshine, they also came with lashing rain which left the politician’s wife a little weatherbeaten.
